Shape Up Across Oregon
Shape Up Across Oregon provides Oregonians three motivational fitness programs to encourage children and adults in meeting daily guidelines for physical fitness and nutrition. The school-based program is free to elementary and middle school students, while workplace and community-based programs are provided to adults at a small fee. Shape Up Across Oregon was originally developed by The Oregon Governor’s Council on Physical Fitness and Sports in response to an increasing need for physical activity among our children in spite of budget cuts in school PE programs. Managed by David Heil & Associates, Inc., the Governor’s Council continues to endorse Shape Up Across Oregon along with sponsors from health and fitness related organizations.
